MANILA – A huge part of Luzon and the Visayas are forecast to experience rain showers due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat”, the weather bureau said Tuesday.
“Although there is no weather disturbance seen to affect the country, the ‘habagat’ will dampen Southern and Western Luzon,” Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Rhea Torres said.
Scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail in Mimaropa and Antique, while Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Calabarzon, and the rest of the Visayas will have isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
“The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms,” Torres said.
Meanwhile, PAGASA expects light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas to prevail across the archipelago. (PNA)
