Gina de Venecia seeks comeback in Pangasinan 4th District

DAGUPAN CITY – Former congresswoman Gina de Venecia, wife of former House Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr., is seeking a fresh mandate as the fourth district representative of Pangasinan and successor of her son.

Incumbent Pangasinan 4th District Rep. Christopher de Venecia filed her mother’s certificate of candidacy at the Commission on Election office here Sunday.

“My vision is to empower every generation by providing livelihood opportunities for all — from Gen Zs to millennials and their parents,” the 75-year-old de Venecia said in a statement read by her son, who will end his third and final term next year.

Her platform focuses on livelihood opportunities that would champion the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises, health, values formation, education, and environmental protection.

There is no report yet of even one candidate who would challenge de Venecia. (PNA)
