A fire razed the Dalamax Poultry Farm in Barangay Gueset, Bugallon, Pangasinan at around 12:30 a.m. on January 21, 2025, causing an estimated P23.9 million in damages.

The blaze destroyed the facility, which housed approximately 39,000 10-day-old chicks, each valued at P100.

The modern structure of the poultry farm contributed significantly to the high cost of the damages.

According to an initial investigation, an employee on duty noticed thick smoke coming from the northwest section of Poultry Building Farm A. Moments later, the employee heard three consecutive bursts followed by the ignition of the fire.

Despite efforts by three workers to put out the flames using fire extinguishers, the fire quickly spread throughout the building, fueled by the plastic ceiling, which allowed the flames to spread rapidly.

Firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection arrived on the scene and declared the fire under control by 1:36 a.m.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation as authorities continue their efforts to determine its origin.
