De Paz, responded quickly, containing the fire by 2:15 AM. No injuries or fatalities were reported, but several families were displaced.

The Tacloban Fire Investigation Unit has launched an inquiry to determine the cause of the fire. This incident underscores the importance of fire safety in densely populated areas, where close-set houses pose higher risks.
