Filipino siblings among 4 shot dead inside California home

MANILA – Filipino-American siblings Christine Asa-Ca and Javie Maquindang were among the four killed in a fatal shooting inside a residence in Lancaster City, California.

The shooting incident, tagged by their family as “gun violence,” also killed Asa-Ca’s fiance Edwin Garcia and Maquindang’s partner Matthew Montebello, along with their four pet dogs.

A 16-year-old girl, who was at home at the time of the incident on Saturday morning, was the only survivor.

Based on the latest local reports, no arrests have been made since the time of the incident. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.

Their next-of-kin are seeking justice and have since launched a GoFundMe page for funeral expenses and the families the four left behind. (PNA)
