Event coordinator arrested in Urdaneta City buy-bust

POLICE authorities arrested an event coordinator and confiscated suspected shabu valued at more than P582,000 early morning on February 4, 2026 in Urdaneta City.

Arrested was a 37-year-old male suspect and resident of Mapandan. Seized from his possession were approximately 85.69 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price of P582,692.

The suspect is currently under police custody and faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

P/ Brig. Gen Dindo Reyes, Regional Director, underscored the police force’s firm commitment to cleansing the region of illegal drugs.

“We will not stop as long as there are individuals attempting to destroy the future of our fellow citizens. The arrest of the suspect and the seizure of a large quantity of illegal drugs send a clear warning — we will not tolerate illegal activities in Region 1,” Reyes said.

He added that they will continue their aggressive campaign to ensure that every community is safe and free from illegal drugs. (Eva Visperas)
