The initiative, led by DTI Region 1 Director Raymond Panhon, focuses on ensuring that businesses comply with safety standards and regulations for various products.

The DTI inspection team visited several establishments in the City of San Fernando, prioritizing those that sell Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), electronic cigarettes or vapes, Christmas lights, and appliances.

The team conducted thorough checks to verify product labeling, certifications, pricing, and compliance with safety standards, particularly for electrical goods and LPG equipment. They also ensured that mandatory safety markings and certifications, such as the Philippine Standard (PS) mark and Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) stickers, were present on products.
