DOH honors 448 health program partners in Eastern Visayas

The Department of Health (DOH) in Eastern Visayas has recognized 448 health program partners for their contributions to achieving significant health milestones in the region.

The recognition ceremony, held on Wednesday at the Summit Hotel in Tacloban City, was part of the regional health summit conducted from December 10 to 11. DOH Eastern Visayas Regional Director Exuperia Sabalberino highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “This year’s health summit focuses on acknowledging progress and celebrating milestones, aimed at recognizing and honoring outstanding DOH partner facilities and organizations for their tireless public service and contributions to improving the healthcare system across Eastern Visayas.”

The awardees included local government units, government hospitals, partner national government agencies, non-government organizations, media, health volunteers, and private establishments, all of which played pivotal roles in advancing the region’s healthcare system.

Sabalberino emphasized the value of collaboration, saying, “Our partnership reminds us that by working together, we can achieve desired health outcomes for the region.”

The regional health summit carried the theme, “From Commitment to Achievement: Celebrating Health Milestones in Eastern Visayas,” underscoring the collective effort and commitment of stakeholders in enhancing healthcare services and outcomes.
