The Department of Education Regional Office I (DepEd RO1) has launched a reintegration fair aimed at helping repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) return to the teaching profession.
DepEd invited returning OFWs interested in pursuing careers in education to visit and participate in the Balikbayang Mangagawa National Reintegration Network Regional Fair currently being held at its regional office.
The activity seeks to support OFWs in restarting their careers in the education sector by providing access to various services and opportunities.
Among the services offered are career opportunities under the “Sa Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma’am at Sir” program, managed by the Administrative Division.
The fair also features on-site registration for the Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test and the Philippine Educational Placement Test, as well as information on education programs such as the Alternative Learning System (ALS), Special Needs Education (SNEd), and other learning resources from the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD).
Programs such as the Senior High School Voucher Program and Education Service Contracting (ESC), led by the Quality Assurance Division (QAD), are also being introduced, while the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) is offering scholarships and other educational assistance.
DepEd said its booth will be open to interested beneficiaries until April 16, 2026.
The agency encouraged qualified OFWs to take advantage of the opportunity to return to teaching and contribute to the development of education in the country.
