Davao de Oro province was recognized with the Silver Seal of Protection by the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for ensuring comprehensive insurance coverage of its public assets under Republic Act 656, also known as the Property Insurance Law.

Governor Dorothy Gonzaga accepted the award during the “Pagpupugay sa mga Kaagapay ng GSIS” ceremony held at the GSIS Gymnasium in Pasay City on Thursday. The award acknowledges the province’s commitment to safeguarding public resources through effective risk management and compliance with national policies.

Dennis Anduyan, officer-in-charge of the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), highlighted that the recognition reflects the collaborative efforts of provincial offices in managing and protecting public assets. He noted that Davao de Oro’s adherence to safety and sustainability measures has set a standard for effective governance.

Governor Gonzaga emphasized the importance of the award in reinforcing the province’s dedication to responsible governance. “This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of our provincial team and strengthens Davao de Oro’s reputation as a leader in public service and governance,” she said in a statement.

The GSIS Seal of Protection honors government entities that prioritize proactive risk management by securing comprehensive insurance for their properties, underscoring the role of risk mitigation in public service excellence.
