CSC Releases Results for Treasury, Penology, and Fire Officers’ Exams

MANILA – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the list of passers for the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE), Fire Officer Examination (FOE), and Penology Officer Examination (POE) held on June 2, 2024.

In a statement released Friday, CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles revealed that a total of 8,493 individuals successfully passed the exams, including 938 for the BCLTE, 5,566 for the FOE, and 1,989 for the POE. These passers represent 11.09%, 65.54%, and 23.43% of the examinees for each respective exam.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 8,493 new eligibles from this batch of examinations. This eligibility opens doors for you to pursue relevant positions, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming you as fellow public servants dedicated to providing high-quality service in your respective fields,” Nograles said.

Notable performers in the examinations include Jaylie Christ Patlunag from Northern Mindanao, who topped the FOE with a rating of 95.34, and John Carlo Plaza from Southern Luzon, who led the POE with a rating of 93.25. For the BCLTE, three individuals shared the top spot with identical ratings of 93.77: Jose Bechaida from the Bicol Region, Renelyn Gamasan from Southern Tagalog, and Alyssa Faith Rivero from Western Visayas.

In the Fire Officer Examination, the top passers included Reymond Borbe from the Bicol Region with a score of 94.79, followed by Reynold Jay Bahunsa from Northern Mindanao and Pantaleon Cadao from Central Visayas, both scoring 93.42. Other top scorers included Joerie Suboc from the National Capital Region (NCR), Sahlee Illut from Central Visayas, and Francis Christian Conde from the Bicol Region, each earning a score of 93.15. Also notable were Ralph Emil Zenarosa from the Bicol Region, Tricia Mae Baleros from Southern Tagalog, and Joey Boy Moog from Southern Tagalog, all with scores of 92.88.

For the Penology Officer Examination, Plaza was followed closely by Zedny Immatong and Emmanuel Bacud from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) with scores of 92.99. Other high scorers included El-din Hazraf Hadjinor from SOCCSKSARGEN with 92.73, Mark Joseph Calixton from SOCCSKSARGEN, Fe Rosello from Eastern Visayas, and Cathryn Joy Antonio from Southern Tagalog, each scoring 92.47. Other top performers were Febie Gel Dagson from CAR with 92.21, Marivic Pastor from Cagayan Valley with 91.95, and Lourreyn May Porquiado from Davao Region and Danica Cenita from the Bicol Region, both scoring 91.43.

In the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination, Christian Guspid from Cagayan Valley earned a score of 93.44, followed by Edward Vange Arriba from Davao Region with 92.79. Renmar Dasco from Bicol, Jocelyn Sisperez from Southern Tagalog, and Rhel Suarez from Davao Region all scored 92.46. Additionally, Melissa Constantino from NCR, Ezekiel Escol from Caraga, and Ann Stephanie Serrano from Southern Tagalog each achieved a score of 92.13.

In terms of regional performance, Southern Tagalog produced the highest number of Fire Officer passers, accounting for 11.30 percent, and the highest number of BCLTE passers at 13.33 percent. The highest concentration of Penology Officer passers, 16.39 percent, was recorded in the NCR.

The CSC has made the full list of successful examinees available on its website. Passers are encouraged to claim their Certification of Eligibility through their respective CSC Regional or Field Offices. However, they are advised to check with the relevant CSC office regarding the availability of their certification and the process for claiming it.
