Content creators dressed as Spiderman and Son goku reprimanded after highway stunt goes viral

Cebu City – The Highway Patrol Group (HPG) in Central Visayas issued a warning to two content creators dressed as Spider-Man and Son Goku, along with a third performer as Batman, after they were filmed performing stunts on Cebu’s Transcentral Highway (TCH) on Sunday, October 27.

The video, which quickly gained traction on social media, shows the characters on a large motorcycle and sidecar, executing precarious maneuvers on the busy TCH, a route known for its challenging terrain. While some online found the stunt amusing, authorities warned it posed significant risks to both the performers and passing motorists.

At the HPG office, the content creators expressed regret, acknowledging the potential dangers of their actions. They assured officers they would refrain from similar stunts. With the rising popularity of content creation, authorities urged influencers to practice responsibility, especially in public spaces where safety is paramount. This case underscores the growing need for public awareness about safe and lawful content creation on the road.
