Comelec orders proclamation of P3PWD party-list’s 1st nominee

MANILA – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has ordered the proclamation of the first nominee of the Komunidad ng Pamilya, Pasyente, at Persons With Disabilities (P3PWD) party-list.

In its Minute Resolution 24-0986 released Thursday, the Comelec en banc ordered the issuance of a Certificate of Proclamation to Maria Camille Ilagan as the representative of the party-list in the 19th Congress.

“Resolved to issue Certificate of Proclamation in favor of Maria Camille L. Ilagan as P3PWD’s Representative in the House of Representatives 19th Congress,” it said.

Meanwhile, the party-list’s new set of nominees are Lily Grace A. Tiangco (2nd), Marianne Heidi C. Fullon (3rd), Dylan Romulo C. Santos (4th), and Bernadine T. Montelibano (5th).

Earlier, the P3PWD submitted its new set of five nominees in response to the ruling of the Supreme Court, which invalidated the substitution of retired Comelec commissioner Ma. Rowena Guanzon as the party-list’s first nominee.

The SC has also declared null and void the nominations of Rosalie Garcia, Cherie Belmonte-Lim, Donnabel Tenorio, and Rodolfo Villar.

The P3PWD received 391,174 votes in the May 2022 polls, earning them one seat to represent their group in the House. (PNA)
