Clergy, lay leaders to discuss Pope Francis’ reforms in Cavite

MANILA – The Diocese of Imus is set to host a series of conference-workshops on Pope Francis’ reforms and synodal implementation on the first quarter of 2025.

The conference-workshops will be held on January 14, February 6 and March 6 at the St. Mary’s Girlstown in Silang town, Cavite province, according to the diocese.

At least 120 members of the clergy, religious and seminarians and 70 lay leaders are expected to attend the events.

The conference-workshops will be facilitated by the Love Our Pope Movement (LOPM) with the assistance of De La Salle University – Dasmarinas, Cavite Campus Ministry.

Topics to be discussed include a history of Church reforms and understanding the Final Document of the Synod of Bishops of Synodality issued in October 2024 and its implementation in local churches.

Former Commission on Elections Commissioner Rene Sarmiento will be the speaker on the first day and actress-comedienne Candy Pangilinan will talk on the second day. Both speakers are LOPM convenors. (PNA)
