Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia and Mister Loo Philippines’ regional finance head Monica Advento signed a lease agreement on October 29, formalizing a partnership to operate restroom facilities in the soon-to-open Tourist Rest Area (TRA) in Pinamungajan. The Capitol-funded facility aims to enhance the travel experience by offering modern amenities and comfortable spaces for tourists.

The five-year lease grants Mister Loo a 43.8-square-meter space within the TRA, where the company will operate state-of-the-art restroom facilities. Mister Loo will implement advanced hygiene standards and charge a minimal fee of P10 for basic restroom access and P20 for premium options.

In addition to restroom services, the Capitol-funded TRA will feature DOT-approved amenities such as souvenir shops, charging stations, and a lounge area. In a unique twist, the rest area will also include a mini food court offering freshly prepared Cebuano dishes, giving visitors a taste of local flavors. Present at the signing were Board Member Jiembo Borgonia and several Capitol department heads, underscoring the local government’s commitment to supporting tourism through quality facilities and services.
