By Xander Ledesma

Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia has led a command conference with the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) to discuss security preparations for the upcoming Sinulog 2025 festival.

The mayor emphasized the importance of ensuring a safe and orderly celebration, especially considering the expected influx of visitors. The event will return to its traditional venue, the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC), with plans to expand the capacity to accommodate up to 20,000 people.

To maintain security, the CCPO will deploy a significant number of police personnel. The city government has also allocated a budget of P95 million for the event, which will cover various expenses, including prizes for winning contingents.

By implementing strict security measures and taking proactive steps, the city aims to provide a memorable and secure Sinulog experience for all participants and visitors.
