Caloocan City launches children vax program

The Caloocan City Government has launched a vaccination program targeting children from newborns up to 23 months old who have not yet received immunizations against preventable diseases. The program, announced on November 19, aims to protect children from a range of life-threatening illnesses, including tuberculosis, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, meningitis, pneumonia, and measles.

Health officials emphasized the importance of vaccinations in safeguarding the health of young children and encouraged parents to bring their children to the nearest health centers to receive the free vaccines. The local government assures that the vaccines are safe and accessible for all eligible children.

This initiative is part of the ongoing effort by the Caloocan City Health Department to ensure the well-being of the city’s youngest residents, particularly in combating preventable diseases that pose significant risks to children’s health.
