THE Bayambang Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Pangasinan was recognized as the Best Municipal Police Station (Class A) Nationwide during the Philippine National Police (PNP) Day Celebration 2026 held at Camp BGen Rafael Crame in Quezon City on Wednesday.
MPS earned the prestigious award after posting an 89.80 percent overall performance rating under the leadership of its Chief of Police, P/Lt. Colonel . Rommel Bagsic.
The recognition highlights the station’s exemplary performance in maintaining peace and order, effective law enforcement operations, and the implementation of community-oriented safety programs. Evaluation criteria included crime prevention initiatives, police operations, administrative efficiency, and strong community relations.
PNP officials said the award reflects the station’s consistent commitment to professionalism, discipline, and responsive policing.
The Bayambang Police Station attributed the achievement to the collective efforts of its entire police force, emphasizing teamwork and dedication in carrying out daily law enforcement duties within the municipality.
Local officials also credited the strong support of the municipal government, led by Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao, noting that close coordination between the police and the local government has been instrumental in sustaining peace and order in Bayambang.
The award forms part of the annual PNP Day celebration, which honors outstanding police units nationwide for excellence in service and public safety.
