In an interview, Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas said the continued partnership of the provincial government and different national agencies in serving the people is a testament of united efforts under Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines).

“On this day, our President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., truly showed that he is a partner of the provincial government in supporting our agriculture sector, especially our farmers and fishermen. We shall ensure that no one will be left behind in addressing the challenges of local industry,” he told the Philippine News Agency.

The national government disbursed a total of PhP 23, 750,000 to eligible farmer and fisherfolk beneficiaries, who received PhP 10, 000 each.

The 2, 375 beneficiaries are from Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Calaca City, Calatagan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Laurel, Lian, Lipa City, Lobo, Mabini, Mataas na Kahoy, Nasugbu, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Sta.
