SAN NICOLAS, Pangasinan – Six people were injured when the car they were traveling in plunged into a ravine along Villa Verde Road, Barangay Sta. Maria East, in this town on December 27.

The vehicle, a gray Honda City (plate no. IAB 7088), was driven by Noel Bacorro, 31, a resident of Barangay Matolong. He was accompanied by five passengers: Rogelio Dela Cruz, 72, from Barangay Inamutan; Rachel Bacorro, 38; Luna Bacorro, 11 months old; both from Barangay Matolong; Maria Corazon Maduro, 38, an Overseas Filipino Worker; and Liana Roreen Dela Cruz, 13, from Barangay Lelemaan, all of Manaoag, Pangasinan.

According to a police investigation, the vehicle was traveling westward along the road, heading downhill, when it reached a curved section. The driver reportedly experienced mechanical issues, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The car then veered off the road and fell into the ravine.

As a result of the accident, all six individuals sustained injuries and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
