3 weather systems to bring rains over parts of PH

MANILA – Parts of the country will experience rains on Monday due to three weather systems, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.

Scattered rains and thunderstorms are forecast across Eastern Visayas due to the shear line.

Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental will also experience scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

Moderate to heavy rains are possible in the aforementioned areas and could result in flash floods or landslides, PAGASA warned.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring light rains over Batanes, and isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.

The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail across Northern and Central Luzon.

Elsewhere, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters will prevail.

PAGASA, meanwhile, said no low pressure area was monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation.  (PNA)
