MANILA – Parts of Luzon will experience rains due to two weather systems, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Wednesday.
The shearline will bring scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Cagayan Valley.
As of 5 a.m., PAGASA said heavy to intense rains are forecast in Cagayan and Isabela, while moderate to heavy rains are likely in Isabela and Apayao.
Flash floods or landslides are possible in areas affected by the shearline.
Meanwhile, PAGASA forecasts that Batanes will experience isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail across Northern Luzon.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
The bureau added that no low pressure area is monitored for possible cyclone formation. (PNA)
