2 high-value targets yield P4-M marijuana, kush in Caloocan

MANILA – Police officers arrested two high-value individuals (HVIs) and seized more than PHP4.4 million worth of marijuana and kush, its high-grade variety, in Caloocan City early Friday.

In a statement, Northern Police District (NPD) acting Director Col. Josefino Iligan said the unnamed suspects aged 21 and 27 were arrested in a sting operation inside the Mentors Village Subdivision in Barangay 175 after selling the contraband to an undercover operative at about 1:35 a.m.

The police seized an estimated 36.5 kg. of narcotics from the suspects.

The suspects are currently detained at the Caloocan City Police Station Custodial Facility for documentation and processing. They would face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act while the seized evidence has been submitted to the NPD Forensic Unit for laboratory analysis.

“The NPD’s campaign against illegal drugs remains unwavering. We will continue to be relentless in safeguarding our communities from this threat,” Iligan said. (PNA)
