1-Cebu Party signs cooperation agreement with three independent parties

CEBU CITY — The 1-Cebu Party is reinforcing its commitment to unity and collaboration across the One Cebu Island. During the One Cebu Party Convention held at SM Seaside City Cebu on September 30, the party entered into a significant cooperation agreement with three influential political parties in Cebu’s first district, as well as in the independent and highly urbanized cities of Cebu and Lapu-Lapu.

Governor Gwen Garcia, president of the 1-Cebu Party, signed the agreement alongside leaders from Kugi Uswag Sugbo (KUSUG), represented by Acting Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin N. Garcia; Alayon-Nacionalista (NP), represented by Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas; and KAABAG Party, represented by Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard Chan. This momentous occasion was witnessed by various ranking officials from the One Cebu Party who attended the convention.

The cooperation agreement outlines a shared vision for the upcoming elections, emphasizing the parties’ commitment to work together toward common goals and objectives for the 2025 elections. Key components of the agreement include fostering harmonious cooperation, respecting and valuing diverse perspectives, maintaining open communication regarding policy decisions, and ensuring full support during the campaign period.

The parties also pledged to respect each other’s autonomy while committing to resolving differences through dialogue and mutual understanding, setting the stage for a collaborative political landscape in Cebu ahead of the upcoming elections.
