𝗦𝗛𝗙𝗖 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁

Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) President and CEO Federico Laxa provided an in-depth briefing on the status of the Port Town housing project, a flagship initiative under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program in Port Area, Manila on Friday.

During the briefing, President Laxa highlighted the significant milestones achieved in the development of the project. The initial phase will benefit approximately 2,500 families, which will eventually form part of  the 21-hectare master plan targeting up to 15,000 decent housing units for informal settler families.

Moreover, present in the briefing were the delegates from the Special Envoy to the United Arab Emirates for trade and investments Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, representatives from the Clean River, United Arab Emirates, and Inter-Agency Council for Pasig River Urban Development.

DHSUD Usec. Lyle Pasco, DHSUD Asec. Hanica Ong, SHFC Resettlement Services Group Vice President Bob Flores also graced the event.

The briefing concluded with a tour of the Pasig River Bigyang Buhay Muli showcase area, where DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar welcomed guests and provided updates on the progress of the planned prime recreation and tourism hub.

Earlier, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. approved the issuance of sovereign guarantee for shelter projects under the 4PH.
