A Tuesday morning fire tore through a residential area along Mindanao Avenue, Bagong Pag-Asa, Quezon City, prompting a rapid response from firefighters as the blaze quickly escalated.

The Quezon City Fire District reported that the fire reached third alarm by 7:00 a.m., triggering the deployment of around 50 fire trucks to contain the flames across the densely populated neighborhood.

By 8:28 a.m., the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared the fire out. Initial reports confirmed 85 families affected and one individual injured, as authorities continue assessing the extent of property loss. An investigation is now underway to determine what sparked the blaze.

Local officials remind residents to observe fire safety protocols and to coordinate with barangay and city social welfare offices for emergency assistance and temporary shelter options.
