Miss Universe 2025 3rd Runner-up Ahtisa Manalo returned to Manila in the early hours of Tuesday, touching down at NAIA around 1:30 a.m. to find a crowd of supporters who stayed up late just to greet her. Despite the hour, the energy was electricโcheers, flowers, banners, and heartfelt messages filled the arrival area as the countryโs newest beauty queen stepped out with her signature grace.
Ahtisa, visibly moved, thanked everyone who rallied behind her journey.
โSalamat sa paghihintay. Salamat sa support, sa pagmamahal, sa tiwalaโฆ Sana magpatuloy kahit hindi na ako nasa pageant,โ she said, hoping the bond she built with Filipinos extends far beyond the Miss Universe stage.
She described her time in Thailand as โamazingโโfrom the food to the people to the culture that embraced her during the competition. And while some fans have been vocal about their disappointment with the results, Ahtisa kept a level head, reminding everyone to honor the organizationโs decision.
โWhatever the result is, we have to accept it.โ
The Miss Universe world, meanwhile, has been dealing with its own dramaโjury resignations, allegations of predetermination, and the sudden withdrawal of Miss Cรดte dโIvoire from her continental title. Ahtisa, ever composed, said she has yet to see the official statements and is focusing on wrapping up her reign with dignity.
Looking ahead, Ahtisa isnโt rushing. She said she plans to continue her advocacy work with organizations like Save the Children, staying true to the mission that shaped her journey long before the crown.
For now, sheโs homeโhappy, content, and celebrated.
